Using it safely
Who this site is for, what it does not replace, and what happens to the values you enter.
This is an educational tool for residents, fellows, and the clinicians who teach them. It is not certified for clinical use. Patients with ST-elevation MI, shock, or other life-threatening conditions need immediate care, not this tool.
What it does not replace
It does not replace clinical judgment, local protocols, or a conversation with your cardiologist. The 5th UDMI is the default framework; older terms appear only where a source used them.
What happens to the values you enter
Values you enter are held in your browser's memory while you use the site. They are not sent to a server or saved. The only things remembered between visits are which statistics you chose to display in the test-characteristics report and your reading view (one or two columns, and text size).
Disclaimer
Please discuss specific patient presentation with your local cardiologist. By using this interactive application, you certify that you are a licensed healthcare professional in the United States/Canada or enrolled in a medical training program, and that you will exercise your independent clinical judgment based on patient-specific characteristics prior to applying the knowledge in your clinical practice.
